A lesson in hydrolics

One of the benefits of not having a manicured (landscaped!) section has been the creative dirt and water play for the boys.  So on this particular day I said to hubby (AKA the engineer) something like "Are you happy with them using all that water?".  The engineer's response... yeah they're fine "IT'S A LESSON IN HYDROLICS"....LOL

And a gift sack for one of my son's wee friends.  Fun doing girly girl for a change.  Inside was lip gloss, fairy stickers and a pretty little bracelet.  How girly is that!

Prima Trina

 First up is the LO we did at Trina McClune's class, here in Nelson.  Guess what?  I loved it!  I altered it slightly- less flowers and left out the blingy bit.  New for me- die cutting a photo and Prima Resist canvas.

This is what I created with the kit leftovers, along with some bling from my stash.  I haven't used Prima much cos I thought it was too girly.  Well I'm converted!  Thanks Trina :)

Happy Day

Oh my gosh, it's been the coolest weekend. Attended Trina's LO workshop in Nelson. Loved!! Die cut a photo, used mistables (EDIT- Prima resist canvas)  for the first time and did some cool arranging of fussy cut Prima. Met a new friend who is now like an old friend. Sorted my boy's pressy (on special 50% off whoop whoop). Flowers in a new apple green vase from the boys. Lovely brunch out with my family- eggs benedict YUMMO- and then some special time with mum this afo. AND no cooking tonight. Far out brussel sprout. Love weekends like this.

My Cameo

Am enjoying my Silhouette Cameo.  I made this gable box as a house warming pressie and filled it with Hershey's Kisses.

My eldest chose the strawberry from my downloads and made this card himself.  My boys love the Cameo.

My Dear Wee Man

My scrappy friend Lyn and I had an awesome session the other weekend.  We started with a LO on Pinterest for inspiration.  This the LO I came up with.  I think it might be one of my all time favs.  Why?  Well I love the colours, textures, misting, stamping, distressing...  The photo is by Steve Hussey (would recommend him as a photographer if you are top of the South).

Eek, why does Blogspot flip my photos sometimes!!  Anyone know?
