My Tim Holtz Configrations Book

Well here we have it my completed book.  Credit to 'Art of Craft' for the inspiration- in particular the cover of my book.  I have used Holtz papers.

Mr bird has been highlighted with distress inks and a whisker of picket fence distress paint.  I think I used enamel for his eye.  Crackle for the branch.  He's mounted on grunge board and raised with mounting foam.

That's a real little music box that you can see.  As you turn the handle, it plays a tune.  Thank you Carol- it's very special :)  The little trinket box (below, bottom right corner) opens to reveal hidden treasure inside.

The mini book is made with Holtz ruler binding.  I used different nuts and bolts as the original ones that came with the binding kit were too long to fit in the closed book.  Have used gelatos on the cover here.  You can't tell from the photo but there's a lovely sheen to them.  Influenced by Limor Webber here.

I should mention that all of the pages of the mini are made from pretty packaging.  Felt good up-cycling!  Some of the pages house a wee tag.  The one below has 'whipped spackle'-  LOVE THAT STUFF.  Goes on like butter.  Num num.

So there you have it.  Thanks for getting my 'a' into 'g' with this project Brendy!!  Happy Sunday and please leave some love if you have time.  oxox
