Picket Fence

{Heart} my new PTI picket fence die. Am looking forward to using it in different ways- maybe with some chipboard and crackle paint? Perhaps with a muted flowery stamp on the side... Melissa Phillips (Lilibean Paperie) has used it so well in some of her projects...

Thanks Iemke for the loan of your PTI tag die. The minature rosebuds are from Scrap Box NZ and the wrinkle ribbon from Memrie Mare on Etsy.

Lastly thank you friends for your wonderful comments- they really make me smile :) . Hugs. S.

Challenge Me Happy

...and challenge me happy it did :) LOL.....
A photo was given as inspiration and here is my layout.
{Edit} Photo is by our great friend Steve. He can be found at http://www.stevehussey.co.nz

Don't we look like such doting first time parents {giggle}

Enjoyed the colour scheme of brick red, cream/white, black with a hint of blue.

Had a great deal of fun with this. Must use photos as a source of inspiration more often.
I kept the chipboard a little rough and natural to replicate a bricky/ earthy feel.

Carried the brick theme from the challenge photo over to my chosen pic, and then made my own little bricks popping out from the layout- a little roughed up too.

Thanks for stopping by. S

Rain Rain

Today is a wintery old rainy day. So Mr 4 1/2, Mr 2 and I are all inside at home for the day. Me with a bit of a cold. We have made a zoo, an awesome train track, set up a reading snuggle spot and baked scones. Now Mr 2 is napping, Ol has TV for a bit and I can enter the bloggisphere for a short while.

First up 'Ol' (not 01 as the title may appear). We recently had a 'Mummy Ollie' trip and it was sooo nice having that one on one time and visiting my bro in Welly. Next time we'll have to stay longer as I have heaps of friends there to catch up with. Papers are from MME.

...and a sweet birthday card for a wee fella. Don't think I will ever tire of banners. These banner stamps are also MME from Scrap Box NZ.

Untitled 137

Eek titles.... I struggle with them sometimes so today it's Untitled 137 {giggle}. Didn't artists in the Abstract Expressionist period name just about every other painting Untitled? That's enough rambling...

Hope you enjoyed my creation. Thanks for stopping by. {Hugs}. S.

Pencil Lines Sketch

Drawing on inspiration from a 'Pencil Lines' sketch, and using up stash from Scrap Box NZ here is a layout treasuring the memory of my son's consistent tongue poking for photos. LOL

A Mix

My creations have two threads. Firstly anyone that knows me and my style will know how much I {adore} pretty and vintagey with lace and trinket pins and roses...shabby chic YUMMY stuff.

Here's a glassine sack that I embellished and filled with wee gift tags for my Mum for Mother's Day. If you are local I bought the glassine bags from 'Stamps Plus' in Hope, Nelson (NZ).

All the tags have a wee fruit stamp on them (these accompanied the raspberry chocolate sauce and apple linen tea towel)- don't you love themed gifts LOL

Had great fun with these....

Using the same 'Paper Trey Ink' die, I made Mr Two's Birthday invites. Paper and some of the ribbons can be purchased from Scrap Box NZ.

Yes, 'boy-sie' is the second theme to my scrapping and paper crafting....

Have still been creating, just not blogging as much. Let me know what you think. What themes recur in your work? Stay tuned for some more layouts and some guest artists coming up. {Hugs}, S.
