Well it's been quite a week. Not one that i would like to repeat any time soon. What's the saying.... 'What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger'. LOL
A couple of things to share today. Firstly a vintage tag that I made for Father's Day this year. I used Ranger distress Ink (vintage photo) for the background. Loving my Baker's Twine. Scrap Box NZ is now stocking this.
I don't think I will ever tire of vintage book paper scallops...

Chase
This layout is all about bubba (bless him!) chasing sea gulls crawler style. He just has this thing for them...
The neutral Cosmo pp worked well- reminded me of the beach, with the gauzy fabric for some extra texture. The thick ribbon is an older Stampin' Up one- it is pleated Gigi http://gigikennedy.typepad.com/ style.

Love that gorgeous little 7Gypsies paper clip.... Cute!

Blessed
So a week or two ago I was privy to the most AMAZING package arriving at my door from the wonderful, generous and talented Rachel Tucker http://rtscraps.typepad.com/
So I opened the box to see this most beautiful handmade tag, made by Rachel of course...
Don't you just {heart} the layering and stitching and fabric and those delicious wee flowers...

An amazing RAK (random act of kindness) from a stranger..... Oh how it made my day/ week/ month...........

My Mum
Mum loves her fabric, sometimes selling her creations at fairs around the Nelson region. She also sells through trade-me under the name of 'Bryce-Bags'.
Some sales (as identified on the site) this week will go to the Christchurch Quake victims.
You can find the gorgeous Owl bib here http://www.trademe.co.nz/Baby-gear/Feeding/Bibs/Single-bibs/auction-316862237.htm

Quake
As I am blogging the TV is on and more on the devastating earthquake that hit Christchurch New Zealand in the early hours Saturday morning. We are 4.5 hours away but it is so hard to imagine. I have friends who are 'Facebooking' about the disaster but I just can't put myself in the shoes of people who have lost their homes, businesses, possessions.... Billions of dollars of damage. My little life just carries on here, with this devastation just hours away...
I am thankful that no lives were lost. I hope and pray for my friends, family and all the people down there in the midst of the disaster that they can pull together and get through this unsettled time. I pray that the worst is over. I pray for CALM over the minds of the people. All the aftershocks must be so unnerving.
Thinking of you lovely people....xoxoxoxox

A Curious Mind (#2)
For the 2nd pictured page I made a little tag pocket. Don't you just LOVE the little crown stamp (Stampin' Up Tiny Tags). This book contains some of my FAV products- JillyBeanSoup journalling sprouts, vintage lace, paper doilies, baker's twine, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, pearls....
It's Father's Day here in NZ so have a great day Dads!

The Story
Layout for Scrap Box NZ- most of the products can be found for purchase over there. I used a sketch found over at http://littleshopofsketches.wordpress.com/
A great NZ site that I didn't know about till the other week.
The pic isn't the best in the world- didn't have my camera so it was taken with my cell phone. The point is that the memory was captured. Was such a fun, random thing to be sorting out buttons in a cafe. Love it!!!

A Curious Mind!
My latest project over at http://stamphappy.typepad.com/
I think that this might quite possibly be my most favourite mini yet. Loved how the Stampin' Up papers coordinated with lots of my vintage supplies- trims, pins, buttons, lace....
There are a few pages so will post more over the next week. You will gather that my 3 1/2 year old asks a LOT of questions. Sometimes we play the game "lets see who can be the quietest for the longest" LOL....
Happy Thursday!! Yahhh it's SPRING at long last.
